I remember a discussion I had with a close friend very soon after I had given birth to D. It ensued, rather uninspiringly, during a diaper change. Slathering cream in the nether regions, I was acutely conscious of rubbing lots of sticky moisture into my baby's tush...and I couldn't help but question (of course, the affects of so much cream in an area that doesn't see too much light, in a country with so much heat...but more relevantly) issues of privacy and personal space. Even for babies.
Strange though, that the human species have the brightest of offspring (discounting for the somewhat vacuous stare of formulea fed babies) and yet are the most helpless. The calf, the doe and even the voluminous whale learns to fend for itself Day2 into birth. But our younglings continue to struggle, well, till at least 40. Then the mid-crisis hits them and its chaos in another way! So as mother's we fuss and fawn till our teeth fall out and God delivers us.
